About The Chemical Biology and HTS Facility
The High Throughput Screening platform is ideal for screening chemical compound collections against both biochemical and cell-based assays.
The screening platform laboratory is approved for a GMO class 2 level and the possibility to work with and directly screen pathogens that require Class 2 biosafety level protection, enhances the chances of finding novel, innovative chemical modifiers of the pathogens.
The HTS platform is located at the Costerton Biofilm Center, University of Copenhagen.

We can provide expertise and advice in setting up biochemical and biological assays, optimise these for high throughput screening, including volume minimization and transfer to 384-well format, and test assay robustness statistically.
Suitable assays can be screened against our in house chemical library collection (approx. 55.000 compound), or against a library provided by the user.
We can directly work with biological species requiring a Biosafety level 1 or 2 (GMO1/2) on the screening platform. Assay types include fluorescence and absorbance based readouts.
Based on our HT Differential Scanning Fluorimetry (DSF) set up, we can screen compound collections for specific protein interactors.
We can advise on how to implement and store chemical compound libraries. We can also reformat chemical collections into 96-array tube-based storage systems.
